The Rock Wad
What is a "rock wad" and why should I care?
The Rock Wad, defined
The rock wad is simply the phonetical articulation of the acronym for Random Office Question of the Week or Day. The Random Office Question of the Week or Day was conceived by brettroby.com in partnership with gifted internet peruser Dylan Hanley A.K.A. "DIELON." It has been endorsed by millions worldwide and is quickly becoming the staple for inner-office rollicking of businesses everywhere – big and small.
Historical Context and Significance
On November 28th, 2007, brettroby.com implemented the Random Office Question of the Day, which at that infantile state was known as "ROQD" with the pronunciation being, quite simply, "rocked." As a verb, one is limited as to how they can use it in a sentence. Try it for yourself; you'll see what I mean.
As time progressed and the pressures and schedules of actual work and familial responsibilities ensued, it became harder for the webmaster to consistently update brettroby.com with the Random Office Question of the Day. As such, a meeting was held amongst the marketing team to come up with a solution. It was at this ground-breaking meeting that a new idea was conceived. Since many people do not have the time in their day to get "rocked" on a daily basis, it was felt that the best and most natural direction in which to head was to expand the timeframe with which the random question would be held. Instead of submitting and consequently posting a Random Office Question of the Day, it was decided that brettroby.com and its viewers would do well to have a Random Office Question of the Week or Day. This ensured that viewers worldwide would have a larger window of opportunity to view the random question, while also allowing greater time between necessary website updates by the brettroby.com webmaster.
With the intense holiday schedule came a bit of a lackadaisical approach to website updating, as holiday parties, Christmas gift shopping, and candy-eating put it on the backburner. With 2008 now more than one week old (as of the posting of this article) and the holiday season in the rear-view mirror, the rock wad will henceforth resume its regular schedule with vigor – it's what you've come to expect from brettroby.com. To submit a request to have your very own rock wad posted on brettroby.com, all you need to do is click here; IT'S THAT EASY!
The Rock Wad — Rules and Regulations...
OK, so there's really nothing to it. Basically, if you and/or your office buddies have a question that is apparently random or just silly in general, send it on in to brettroby.com and we'll post it up for you on the submitted Rock Wads page. We only ask that you keep the questions PG-13 and below in nature; keep the swear words to a minimum if possible.
Thanks,
